The Plum Creek Art Center was established in 2011 as an all volunteer group with non-profit 501(c)(3) status. An Art Festival is held once a year, a weekly children's art education program entitled "ArtsCool", along with our "Partners of the Arts" and a diverse selection of classes throughout the year keeps the group busy.
The Art Gallery is located in the old State Savings Bank, built in the 1900's on the north side of the street. The inspiration for the Art Gallery was Connie Mohr, a 60 year resident of Fredericksburg who was a respected member of the Iowa Watercolor Society.
With fundraising efforts in 2016, the group raised monies to build a 65' x 20' classroom addition to the current building.
The multi-functional classroom is available for luncheons, club meetings and special occasions.
A large selection of art from Iowa artists is available for purchase.
