Sue Lienau - Ossian, IA

Sue and her husband own and operate a bar/restaurant (Bambino's) in Ossian. She is a self taught illustrator and writer. Sue & Ron (her hubby) have 4 boys and 6 grandchildren. While writing Ruford she asked the oldest grandchild for a name for the eaglet, he's the one who named Ruford. Other characters in her books took on names and personalities of local residents in Ossian that frequent Bambino's or one of the other grandchildren have given them a name. This children's story and sequel tell the story of an eaglet from Decorah, IA as he grows up, meets friends, and explores. If you stop at Bambino's, and bring your copy of the book, Sue will sign it (if you ask nicely).

Elizabeth Peerman

I am the author and illustrator for the Lucy Loo the Rescue series. As a future educator and rescue dog mom, I create stories that can connect with kids to face whatever challenges are in front of them. I am finishing my last year of college, I work to connect with students who have fears that they would like to face. I hope to continue to create books that allow Lucy to show kids that it is okay to have those feelings.

Bill Haywood

Bill is a woodworker by design. He spent several years working for the Black Hawk County Conservation Board. Then he spent multiple years renewing degraded woodlands on private properties. When he retired, he then decided to make unique tables & benches from discarded tree trunk sections. His poetry comes as a side note while finishing the wood designs. Life's outdoor experiences and his love of nature led him to have his poetry published. A quotation from the cover of Bill's book, "Relive moments of beauty and peace when hiking and camping in harmony with nature."

Bookshelf Display

Our newest furniture addition is a bookshelf display for our artists published writings. We will now display all our books "for sale" in one area and our customers won't need to 'search' for a specific artist's book and the sequel in another spot.

We would like to say "Thank You" to our donor for their support.

With this donation we were able to purchase this display.
